Justin Klander, MSCSA Executive Director
Justin Klander has always had a passion in working for students. This began when Justin first served as the Student Senate President at Mesabi Range College in 1998-1999. From there, he was elected Student Senate President of Bemidji State University in 2000-01. He represented students at the state level as the Minnesota State University Student Association chair in 2001-02. Justin continues serving students in his role of Executive Director of the Minnesota State College Student Association. In this position, Justin serves more than 100,000 students by advocating the state and federal legislatures to ensure accessible, quality, and affordable public higher education.
Prior to arriving at the Minnesota State College Student Association, Justin managed workforce programs at Dakota County and spent four years with the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development as a Regional Marketer and Business Services Specialist.
Justin received his Associate in Arts degree from Mesabi Range College in 1999. While in attendance, Justin played for the Norse baseball team, and was President of Phi Theta Kappa. Upon graduation, Justin transferred to Bemidji State University and earned Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. At BSU, Justin served as a University Ambassador.
In 2006, Justin completed his Masters of Arts degree in Management focusing on Organizational Development at the St. Paul campus of the College of Saint Scholastica.
